There is no monument to this soft spoken man. Until 2005 there was no written record of his life. The personal achievements he accomplished since being a tail gunner on a B-29 in WW II, the 6 Migs he was credited with during the Korean War, the 91 missions he flew in Viet Nam, the 7 years of torture he endured at the Hanoi Hilton and one of only a few that never signed a propaganda pledge against his government.
Col. Kasler has lived in our community for over 20 years and we think it is time to honor him and our other veterans for the sacrifices they have made for our country.
